Qualifications:
Four to five years’ experience in Web-based graphic design or web interface design, B.
A.

S.
in graphic design, art or related field or equivalent academic and work experience.
Knowledge of software including: Camtasia, Adobe Suite, Javascript, PHP and or SQL, SharePoint, Shockwave, and Macromedia Flash.
Oversee all aspects of a Content Management System (CMS) for the District and School websites
Knowledge of HTML Web technologies and applications.
Experience programming forms and scripts using CGI, Perl, Java, C++, Visual Basic or VB Script.
Working knowledge of Internet and Intranet technologies, including knowledge of Internet security issues and applicable state and federal laws.
Google Analytics Certification or basic understanding of Google Analytics systems
Knowledge of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (ADA WCAG 2.
0) and Office of Civil Rights requirements
Basic understanding of LDAP / Google Authentication (SSO)
HTTPS Implementation
Knowledge of SEO best practices
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational skills with critical attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals at various organizational levels.
Satisfactory work record & criminal/child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 114, and 151).
Experience with audio/video demonstration technologies is highly desirable.

Summary
The Web Designer will have overall responsibility for working on a variety of projects primarily involved in web site design and development, including creation of custom graphics.
Responsible for designing the user interface and overall customer experience for our web sites and applications.
This includes overall navigation flow, layout of specific pages, and creation of individual graphic elements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for design maintenance of all Web sites and other electronic publications and applications.
Deals with preparation of illustrative materials from artists and vendors.
Ensures that all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and screen settings along with the constraints set by development and design.
Works with marketing and development staff on style and approach for all projects.
Provides design elements, comps, templates, and finished solutions.
Participates in efforts to improve quality of Web sites and other electronic publications as required.
Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by the Director of Communications.
Provide Google Analytics reports to the Director of Communications / Information Technology as requested
Assist school level webmasters with the ability to edit content on their pages
Provide training to school level webmasters on how to use CMS
