Therapeutic Group Services Lead Clinician General Responsibilities: Provide direct services as a lead clinician in the therapeutic group services program, including the provision of behavioral interventions and the transfer of social skills into community settings, for children/youth/adolescents with Autism.
Assists with care coordination and case management needs of children/youth/adolescents enrolled in the therapeutic group services program.
Education/Training: Graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling from an accredited college/university, and completed a clinical/mental health direct service practicum.
License in this Commonwealth as a behavior specialist preferred.
Skill(s): Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to negotiate conflict resolution; organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task; problem solving skills; ability to facilitate effective team communication; sensitivity and ability to work effectively with families from various backgrounds and cultures; flexibility to respond to growing program; maintains composure and uses critical-thinking skills during challenging situations; able to design and implement interventions using behavior planning skills.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of behavioral health experience, preferably direct experience working with children/youth with Autism and their families.
Experience with group facilitation, and/or classroom management is preferred.
Essential Duties: Serve as lead clinician in the therapeutic group service program, including the following duties: Plan daily psychoeducational lesson plans Plan community integration activities Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and crisis plans for each child Provide input and clinical information to psychologists for re-evaluations Complete comprehensive clinical assessments, utilizing formal assessment tools, such as the Social Responsiveness Scale and formulate data obtained through assessment tools Transfer skills to parents and families, such as through a weekly updates or monthly parent collaboration meetings Facilitate interagency team meetings with families and all team members, as indicated Participate in weekly team meetings with clinical team.
Participate in monthly one-on-one meetings with Therapeutic Group Services Clinical Supervisor.
Work to ensure that necessary paperwork is present in Electronic Health Record in a timely manner.
Fulfill administrative requirements for timely authorization of services, including the completion of all necessary documentation for submission to Magellan Behavioral Health to ensure uninterrupted services.
Provide support to the team members and families being served.
Communicate about case issues with Therapeutic Group Services Clinical Supervisor when appropriate.
Collaborate with treatment team members in the development of goals and interventions.
Provide informative resources to families including parent training opportunities, community events, etc.
; providing linkage to these supports as needed.
Assist Administrative Coordinator with clinical supervision of Therapeutic Aides, including but not limited to individual or group supervision.
Maintain accurate, clear documentation on progress notes for each session, and a complete file for each case.
Other Duties: Attend training as required by program/department.
Maintain current training certifications as needed for the program needs.
Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned.
