About The Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team! The responsibility of the Business Analyst is to liaise and interact with Hansen clients to provide high-quality business design associated with Hansen Billing products.
Interact with clients to gather their requirements and then impart business knowledge to the EDI technical designers and test analysts.
Assist with daily EDI transaction management operations.
Overall, the EDI Business Analyst will work with the technical team, users, customers, and management to design solutions that fit business needs, contribute to business growth, and solve business & customer related problems.
About You You are a highly enthusiastic individual, self-motivated with the ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
You have 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Utilities or Retail Energy Industry.
You have experience creating detailed business requirements, test scenarios, and process documentation.
You have experience building EDI mapping documents and supporting EDI processes utilizing different data structures like EDI X12 version 4010, XML You are well-organized, with great communication, presentation, analytical skills and excellent oral and written English communication skills.
You have strong interpersonal and leadership skills and able to effectively facilitate functional workshops.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have experience working with Agile framework and Jira project management tools.
Key Responsibilities Develop requirement documents to identify the customer’s business needs and how our system can meet those business needs and own customer request queue.
Make recommendations as appropriate for process improvements based on regular analysis of deliverables and follow up to ensure successful execution Coordinate and manage business analyst related work products throughout the system implementation lifecycle (training, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and production).
Coordinate and lead business requirement sessions to evaluate the customer’s business objectives and goals.
Advise customers on system software configuration changes needed to meet the customer’s business objectives and prepare workflow charts and diagrams to modify system software.
Identify and design system customizations needed to meet the customer’s business needs.
Liaise with developers and QA Testers to ensure accuracy and best possible solutions are presented to the customer for their consideration.
Conduct training sessions for the customer’s project team on all relevant system functions and evaluate the effectiveness of the system version to be implemented.
Prepare estimates for time frames required to complete business related tasks.
Peer review and provide feedback for work products and strategies across are of expertise created by other Business Analysts.
Design functional and integration test plans/scripts and perform testing activities.
Assist with developing and documenting project testing approach/plan with QA resources.
Follow acceptable standards and techniques for the development of design documents, test plans/scripts and estimates.
Develop a solid understanding of the big picture and communicate effectively with internal and external resources.
Apply specialized software knowledge to analyze, design, and implement solutions which address simple to complex business requirements.
Anticipate and resolve software problems.
Coordinate and conduct system / acceptance testing efforts with client.
Prepare and submit weekly status/trip reports as requested.
