Location/Division Specific Information This position will be site based in Allentown.
MA and will support Clinical Trails Division (CTD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Discover Impactful Work: The Training Specialist operates from established and well-known procedures under general directions and minimum supervision.
The Training Specialist manages the scheduling and monitoring of the training to assure effectiveness and proficiency.
The Training Specialist must effectively communicate information to supervision and fellow personnel, relative to the condition of the facility equipment and personnel performance and provide suggestions for problem prevention/resolution.
A Day in the Life: Apply Good Manufacturing Practices and principles of Quality Systems in all areas of responsibility.
Demonstrate and promote the company vision.
Collaborate with cross-function, cross-site teams to plan, develop, coordinate, and implement training on company SOPs, processes and related proficiencies required to build high quality talent.
Deliver, evaluate, and record training activities.
Provide instructional design, training, and evaluation of effectiveness of training process.
Serve as master facilitator.
Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.
Create training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, or handouts.
Mentor employees and provide good judgment and guidance at all levels.
Drive continuous improvement and use of PPI business model.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Keys to Success: Education Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience At least 1-2 years' experience as a site Trainer required, and in a FDA, Pharmaceutical, or highly regulated environment preferred.
Experience delivering training through various training methods required.
Experience in multiple functional areas (e.
g.
Quality, Manufacturing, Packaging, Distribution or Engineering) preferred.
Experience coaching employees to ensure understanding of SOP and Process requirements required.
Experience developing training to include Knowledge Assessments and Competency Assessments to measure effectiveness of training.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theory, training delivery and how to meet the needs of the audience.
Ability to perform OJT training, excellent platform skills and design of training material within a lab or classroom training using a variety of media.
Technical writing skills.
Ability to interact with auditors to explain company training policies and materials.
Ability to write SOPs, and other related quality documentation associated with training in an FDA regulated environment.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build consensus and influence relationships.
Computer proficiency MS Office required.
Learning Management Systems, Video and Audio editing software experience preferred.
Strong consultation skills.
Preferred Qualifications: PHR/SPHR Preferred HRIS system proficiency (e.
g.
Workday) preferred.
