What you’ll do Our ideal Android Software Engineer is comfortable with all aspects of Android development.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software from concept to completion.
We are seeking an individual who will take ownership over their code and be entrusted to manage their time effectively.
The candidate will work closely with other engineers and project managers and will be responsible for development of apps both on mobile phones as well as our in-vehicle display.
Your everyday responsibilities will include: Delivering software and services that impact our customers’ bottom lines Developing state-of-the-art user interfaces based on design requirements Using modern programming tools and frameworks to build state of the art Android applications Perform unit and integration testing to ensure systems work as intended Continuously and iteratively improve our software and services What we hope you'll bring Experience designing, implementing, testing and deploying Android mobile apps Familiarity with common programming paradigms and design patterns, such as Object-Oriented Programming, Model-View-Controller, Transaction Management and Asynchronous programming Experience with UI design and best practices Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, Maven Familiarity with unit testing and integration testing using industry tools Team player with the ability to work independently Beneficial: Experience with bluetooth interface development on Android Experience with iOS development Knowledge of relational databases and SQL Experience with java and web services development Knowledge with Android/iOS cross-platform development frameworks.
