Store Manager

Position: Store Manager – Retail Hardware Position Description The store manager runs the retail operation of medium to high volume hardware stores.
Teamed with an assistant manager and department managers throughout, he or she has full P&L responsibility.
The store manager utilizes his or her team to maintain in-stock conditions, execute advertised events and transforms seasonal merchandising in a timely manner, while simultaneously providing superior customer service.
The ideal candidate must be a hands-on individual who leads by example and develops their team for future responsibilities.
Major Responsibilities • Efficiently schedule their team to insure maximum service coverage is maintained.
• Evaluate, hire, and train new associates.
Effectively motivate all associates.
• Establish and maintain high retail merchandising standards of execution.
• Achieve sales goals and challenge the team to maximize sales opportunities.
• Order advertised and seasonal merchandise.
Oversee auto-replenish ordering process.
• Maintain efficient and organized backroom with minimal inventory.
• Provide superior services standards and earns return visits from every customer.
Minimum Requirements \*Conduct weekly store operation meetings Education: College Preferred, High School Diploma required.
Experience: 3-5 years store manager experience.
Schedule: 46-50 hours per week plus as business dictates.
Skills: Physical strength and dexterity.
Knowledge of hardware/home improvement a plus.
