JOB SUMMARY:
The Donation Center Supervisor provides leadership for all employees that function within the warehouse and is responsible to execute daily functions of the thrift operation.
This ranges from pricing product to maintaining the flow and efficiencies of the donation center as set in place by the Store Manager/Assigned supervisor.
The Donation Center Supervisor is to bring support to the other managers while promoting growth within oneself as a leader and to bring extra guidance and support to the donation center team.
PRINCIPLE JOB FUNCTIONS:
Providing and maintaining a clean and safe working environment within the store and warehouse parameters.
Help oversee the process of incoming donations.
Help price and sort donations according to guidelines.
Demonstrate leadership in production by being consistent in your supervisor role.
Direct and control the staff of the warehouse to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained to carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
Provide supplies for employees necessary to complete job duties and inform Manager of any needed supplies.
Help in the training process for new employees.
Make sure stock and inventory is constantly rotating yet remaining full.
Interact with coworkers in a friendly, Christian manner.
Identify warehouse systems and abide by them.
Assist the Store/Assistant Managers in ensuring quality control and other tasks are required.
Work with community service and volunteers to find jobs to keep them busy at all times.
Fill in for management team when they are off or in meetings.
Have open communication with the Store/Assistant Manager with staffing or production issues.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Promote and uphold the Christian culture that is supportive and reflective of the mission of Liberty Ministries and Liberty Thrift.
High ethical ability to follow policies and procedures of Liberty Thrift.
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to communicate clearly in English, including reading, writing, and counting.
Must be in good physical and mental health with emotional maturity and stability along with a sense of humor and energy.
Must be able to function independently as well as working as a team.
Must be self-motivated and as well as the source of motivation for the staff
Have leadership abilities with attention to detail
Organizational skills
Must have time management skills
Great communication skills
Be neat in appearance and practice good personal hygiene
Must be in good physical being able to physically lift boxes and tubs consistently
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:
At least a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
