WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Observes all safety regulations in the performance of all duties
Safely set up, operate, troubleshoot and repair machines to efficiently and effectively produce product to print
Utilizes computer to access MRP software for Bill Of Material
Preassembles set up to minimize machine downtime
Utilizes Tapping Standard Set Up sheet to set machine parameters
Works on continual improvement projects to improve safety, quality and productivity
Communicates with Engineering and leadership on related issues
Inspects tools and replaces defective tools in set up
Reviews workload and schedule to prioritize set ups
Addresses machine issues in a timely manner
Works well with team members to maximize efficiency and quality
Participates in team meetings and works well with team members.
Actively participates in continuous improvement activities to assist team in meeting goals including Dynamite Idea program, reporting near misses and 6S.
Communicates tool outages to tool planning and leadership
Communicates machine issues to maintenance and leadership
Returns tools and taps from previous job to correct location
Follows work instructions and procedures
Operates tapping machines in production, new parts, projects and continual improvement activities as needed
Assists team members with removing bowls, finishing jobs, lining up next job and other activities to maximize machine run time
Performs minor machine repairs
Keeps work areas organized and clean at all times
Works in other areas to support business
Performs other tasks as required

Requirements:
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
High school diploma or GED.
Tapping experience preferred
Read and understand prints and work instructions
Basic computer skills
Able to work and communicate in a team environment
Mechanical Ability
Use of micrometers, calipers, comparators, gages, hand tools, etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be able to stand approximately 8-10 hrs.
/day.
Must have visual acuity for detailed work
Must be able to work in an oily environment
